Velma A. Sutter


Velma A. Sutter, age 79 , of Gas City, IN, died Monday, September 26, 2011 at her son's Fowlerton residence. Velma was a Homemaker and was a member of Apostolic Lighthouse Church In Elwood. She loved reading especially her Bible. She was one of 15 children born to the late Irving S. and Margaret (Shattuck) Adams in Tipton County, Indiana on May 17, 1932. She attended Fairmount and Gas City Schools. She married Lowell L. Snow, he preceded her in death in 1972. She then married James E. Smith who preceded her in death in 1988 and Henry Sutter who preceded her in death in 1996


She is survived by:

She was preceded in death by a daughter Evelyn McCreery, son, James Edward Smith Jr. and 5 sisters; Betty Jones, Kathryn Nelson, Lola Sprowl, Joan Adams, and Ruth Harden, Esther Caudill. 

Arrangements are being handled by Armes-Hunt Funeral Home, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, IN Funeral service is Saturday, October 1 at 2 PM. with Rev. Mark Smith officiating. Interment will be at Park Cemetery, Fairmount, IN Visitation is 4-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Services of Grant County in care of the funeral home.
